    Plern Thai Cafe is a gem of a spot in the Lake Forest area! This spot is showcasing the complexity and tasty flavors of Thailand. It is located in a pretty big plaza with other food places and a good amount of parking spots. Once you walk in, they have about 4-5 tables for seating. They have so many great selections of items to choose from on their menu that it was hard to pick! Wifey and I ended up getting the Wagyu Roti Mataba, the Beef Shank Panaeng Curry, and the Chicken and Rice. Everything was so beyond flavorful and delicious! The spices were on point and the flavors harmonized so well together. Overall, this spot stands out compared to other Thai eateries. You can tell they put thought and detail into their menu and the items they serve. The staff here are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We will definitely be back for another delicious meal!

    One of my favorite Thai places. It feels like a modern take of Thai. Very small place with friendly staff. On this occasion we ordered the Wagyu Roti Mataba for appetizer. It was crispy and flavorful. My wife ordered the Pad See Ew which tasted really good. My go to favorite is the Beef shank Panaeng Curry. I eat it with the Roti bread which is awesome and never seen at other Thai place. The curry is rich and flavorful. I usually get medium spicy which I think is fine but my wife think it's too hot. I've also tried the Pad Thai before as well as the crispy chicken with rice. The Pad Thai is a bit sweet and the crispy chicken is good.

    Absolutely delicious. Have gone twice already, and tried their pad Thai with chicken and shrimp. The menu has enough options to choose from. Service is prompt and friendly. The place is clean and well kept.

    So glad this place is on the LF gift card list now! It's definitely now one of our go-to's for Thai which we are bummed there's no papaya salad but minor thing. Pad See Ewe, pork jowl, and curry all great options. Their thai tea is also a larger cup portion so easy to share between two people. So far when I've been it hasn't been too busy at all and there's plenty of parking. Both in-restaurant and to-go were great. Overall would recommend and will definitely keep coming back.
